NPR parodies ‘Here’s my number, so call me maybe’

From Top-40 radio to Facebook posts, Carly Rae Jespen’s No. 1 hit, “Call Me Maybe” seems to be popping up everywhere, even on NPR.

It’s the truest test of popularity: when public radio personalities take time out of their studio sessions to create a remix of their own. In the past they’ve parodied Lady Gaga, but I think this one is much better.

NPR hosts and reporters who participated include Robert Seigel, Melissa Block, Ari Shapiro, Nina Totenberg, Scott Simon, David Greene, Susan Stamberg, Audie Cornish, Rachel Martin, Bob Mondello and Guy Raz.
