VIDEO: Newark woman charged with hitting parking officer

A Newark woman faces charges including reckless endangering after she allegedly drove her car at a parking enforcement officer, brushing him with the side of her car.

Newark Police say 33-year-old Innocence Bello arrived at her car that was parked on East Main Street around 10:40 Friday night at the same time an officer was writing a parking ticket.  Police say she tried to get away before the ticket was completely written and hit the officer with her car.  He was uninjured.

In the video above, you can see the incident in the upper right hand corner.  The parking officer jumps back as the car moves into traffic before the car brushes by him.  Other Newark officers were able to pull her over about a block away.

Bello is facing charges of reckless endangering, failure to signal, failure to display license plates, and possession of a deadly weapon (vehicle as a weapon).
