Newark water main flushing

Spring cleaning this week for water mains in Newark.
The city will flush its water mains starting today and running through Friday in order to remove sediment from water and check valves.  The project was timed to coincide with the University of Delaware’s spring break to reduce the impact on services.  Today, the areas being flushed out are around Chestnut Hill Road including Arbour Park, Bellevue Road, Cannon’s Gate, Cobblefield, Silverbrook, South Chapel Street, South College Avenue, Welsh Tract Road, Yorkshire and Yorkshire Woods II.
