Newark bank robbery suspect on the loose
Newark Police are searching for a suspect who robbed the Wells Fargo bank at 622 South College Avenue this morning.
The search is on for a black male about 25-years-old. He is reportedly between 5’7″ – 5’10” tall and has acne scars on his cheeks. He was last seen heading south on South College Avenue in a newer model black Nissan Altima.
The robbery happened around 11:50 a.m. Police said the suspect approached a teller, claimed he was armed and demanded money. Police said the suspect fled the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash.
