New home for older low income residents

State legislators and other officials will help celebrate the grand opening of a new housing complex for low-income elderly residents in Sussex.  This morning, Better Homes of Seaford will host the grand opening of Hampton Circle, a 35-unit apartment building.

The units are completely handicapped accessible and include a balcony among other amenities.  The construction and financing of the project was provided through the Delaware State Housing Authority’s Low Income Housing Tax Credit along with some federal funding programs.  The apartments all have rental assistance, allowing residents to pay 30% of their income for rent and utilities.
