Community members came together at 7165 Lounge on Sunday for the Mt. Airy-Nippon-Bryan-Cresheim Town Watch’s winter festival.
The 25-year-old organization was founded as a patrol group and has evolved into a multipurpose neighborhood association that focuses on creating a strong and safe community.
“When neighbors know neighbors, then you know who is part of [the community] and who is not. Hopefully, the more you know your neighbors, the more you tend to care about them,” said Steven Stroiman, the group’s organizer.
Live musical performances included violinist, Clifford Wagner and John Colgan-Davis of the Dukes of Destiny, a Philadelphia-based blue band. There was also an arts and crafts area and a show put on by a local magician.
The group’s summertime meet and greet for residents, dubbed “Walk ‘N Talk”, will be held in June.
