Nearly 300 get Thanksgiving supplies in Milford

The Food Bank of Delaware distributed nearly 300 Thanksgiving meals to residents in Milford today.

The food boxes included frozen turkeys, mashed potatoes, pies, bread, and a 30 pound box of food. Food Bank leaders say people started lining up two hours before the distribution was scheduled to get started.

The Food Bank will host a holiday food drive through the month of December and is encouraging companies and individuals to host food drives to help meet the need. Major needs include canned fruits and vegetables, instant mashed potatoes, boxed stuffing and other items. Find out more about the needs and how to help at the Food Bank’s website.
