Nameless Village

And suddenly Philadelphians had “The Village.” The formerly (possibly currently) named Christmas Village at City Hall had undergone another name change.

Originally dubbed the Christmas Village to mimick the Christmas market set up in Germany each year, the village was set to be renamed earlier this week as the “Holiday Village” to be more inclusive.

Instead the city has just decided to remove the signs on the village, though the setup will still be unofficially called “Christmas Village in Philadelphia,” the Associated Press reports.

The signs, however, are still up and just read ‘Village.”
