Multiple people reported injured in Chester shooting, one dead

    Nine people were shot, one person is dead from a shooting at the Minaret Temple in Chester during a birthday party late Friday night, reports CBS Philly and the Philadelphia Daily News.

    Victims from the shooting were taken to Crozer Chester Medical Center where a spokesperson said one person is still in critical condition while the other seven are stable.  All of the victims at Crozer are under the age of 20.  The youngest, a woman only 17. 

    Mayor Wendell Butler Jr. of Chester visited the scene early Saturday morning. But he could not confirm the number of people injured.

    Police recovered two firearms from the Temple and are interviewing witnesses from the party.

    Police are still investigating what caused the shootings.

    In two other separate incidents, a man was shot four times Friday evening and another man shot in the hand in the parking lot of a Boston Market in Northeast Philly.

    In Southwest Philly a man was critically wounded after being shot in the stomach early Saturday morning.
