Mt. Airy Family Dollar store robbed

Police are looking for two suspects who robbed the Family Dollar store in West Mt. Airy on Friday night. 

 

At 9:30 p.m. on Oct. 17 two unknown males armed with handguns entered the store, located at 6555 Greene St., and ordered two employees and several customers to the back of the store. 

The first suspect began binding the employees and customers hands with plastic pull ties. A customer was able to escape and flee the store. The two suspects followed the customer.

The manager locked the store and called 911. A Samsung S5 was taken from one of the customers. Nothing else was taken from the store.

The first suspect is described as a 5’6″ to 5’9″ black male in his mid-to-late 20s with a thin build and a beard and mustache. He was last seen wearing a gray-hood sweatshirt and black pants. 

The second suspect is described as a 5’6″ to 5’9″ black male in his mid-to-late 20s, a beard and a piercing on his chin. He was last seen wearing a black knit hat and a black hooded sweater.
