    One of the many issues raised by the Fort Hood shootings is the stress experienced by military psychiatrists, who help soldiers work through the impact of horrific experiences.

    Many mental health professionals work with people in emotionally stressful professions – not just soldiers, but police officers, health-care workers and others.
