Member of rapper Nicki Minaj’s crew stabbed outside West Oak Lane bar

Rapper Nicki Minaj’s tour manager was fatally stabbed outside Che’ Bar and Grill on the 6300 block of Stenton Avenue during the early hours of Wednesday.

De’Von Pickett was with four friends at the bar when the group got into a fight with another group of men.

One other man, who also works for Minaj, remains in critical condition at Albert Einstein Hospital after sustaining stabs to his left arm and left side, according to police. 

The fight broke out at 2:35 a.m. By 2:45 a.m. Pickett was pronounced dead after suffering multiple injuries to his torso.

Minaj tweeted on Wednesday afternoon that the stabbing had involved members of her team. 

The suspect remains at large and is described as a 5’8″ 30-year-old unknown male with a light complexion, thin build, weighing about 160 lbs., with a full beard. He was last seen wearing a black and grey jacket and driving a dark gold Buick Lesabre in an unknown direction.

The City of Philadelphia is offering a $20,000 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of a suspect.
