The Mikado; or, The Town of Titipu is a comic opera in two acts. It opened on March 14, 1885, in London, where it ran at the Savoy Theatre for 672 performances, which was the second longest run for any work of musical theatre and one of the longest runs of any theatre piece up to that time. The Mikado remains the most frequently performed Gilbert & Sullivan Opera. The Savoy performances feature a full professional orchestra that brings this beautiful music to life. The Saturday night performances at the DuPont Theatre will be a special benefit night and all Orchestra seats will be dedicated to supporting Canine Partners for life. DuPont Theatre, June 1st and June 2nd, 8 P.M. and Longwood Gardens June 29th and June 30th, 8:30 P.M.
