Markell signs senior protection bill

Governor Markell will sign a law adding penalties to a criminals who target older Delawareans.  

Markell will sign House Bill 240 this afternoon at the Modern Maturity Center in Dover.  The measure adds an additional $100 fine to any criminal convicted of a crime against a victim 62 years old or older.  The fine will be added to the Senior Trust Fund, which will go to new or expanded programs for Delaware’s seniors.
