Tonight is “Girls Night Out,” tomorrow check out speakers on bees and heirloom seeds, andon Sunday learn about vertical gardening and flowers for wellness. Fruit Tree Pruning Workshop with Lee Reich

Sunday, March 10, 10am-4pm. Awbury Arboretum, 1 Awbury Road. The Philadelphia Orchard Project is hosting orchard all-star Lee Reich at the Awbury Arboretum for a full day, hands-on workshop on fruit tree pruning. $50 general public, $25 for POP partners. BYO lunch. Advance registration required.

Wissahickon Orange Trail Hike 

Sunday, March 10, 1pm. Meet at Northwestern Avenue and Forbidden Drive. Learn a little bit of Wissahickon history geology and stewardship on a trail ambassador hike in the Wissahickon. Join Friends of the Wissahickon trail ambassador Merritt Rhoad will lead this 2 ½ hour, 4 mile hike along Forbidden Drive, Bell’s Mill Road, and the Orange and White Trails. This hike is moderately difficult and the group will keep a conversational pace. Free.
