Learn about SugarHouse jobs and vendor opportunities

April 20, 2010

Those interested in working for SugarHouse Casino, or becoming a SugarHouse vendor,  can meet with casino representatives at the Pennsylvania Convention Center on April 27.

The vendor fair will be held from 9 to 10:30 a.m. in Room 103ABC. Vendors will have the opportunity to meet SugarHouse Casino’s director of procurement and learn about business opportunities and the bidding process.

The career opportunity preview will be held from 12 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the same location. No registration is required.

SugarHouse plans to hire about 800 people to gear up for its opening, set for the end of this summer. Those going to the career preview will meet SugarHouse Casino leaders and learn about the gaming industry, the variety of available positions and the hiring process.

Job interviews will not be held that day, but attendees can discuss the types of openings that will be available with representatives in administration, facilities, finance and accounting, food and culinary service, beverage and bar service, marketing and player services, security, slot operations, surveillance, table games and valet services.  Representatives will also explain the process of becoming and dealer, and give details related to a 10-week dealer training program.

Those interested in working at SugarHouse can complete an online application at www.sugarhousecasino.com. The best applicants will be contacted for interviews.

The casino plans to open with more than 1,500 slots and 42 table games on a 45,000 square-foot gaming floor.
