Kalmar Nyckel scheduled to set sail

Delaware’s tall ship is scheduled to hit the high seas.

The Kalmar Nyckel will make a stop in Lewes before heading to Portsmouth and Cape Charles, Virginia.  She’ll also make a stop in Solomons Island, Maryland before returning to Wilmington in time for the Wilmington Pirate Festival in late June.  The Kalmar Nyckel is an authentic re-creation of a 17th century Dutch built ship that brought some of the earliest settlers to the colonies.
