Is Chestnut Hill a union battleground

Philadelphia police have said they are “absolutely” sure that last month’s vandalism at the construction site of a new Quaker Meeting House was caused by unions. Today’s Philadelphia Inquirer looks at that incident in a larger context. Was this attack part of a new wave of union violence? Apparently in September there was a similar attack on a construction site in Tacony. In both cases, union involvement remains only speculation.

NewsWorks has been following the construction of the new Quaker Meeting House. This one promises to be something special. It will feature a skyspace designed by James Turrell. The project is scheduled to be finished this May.
