Home improvement business is about to close its doors

A Kent County home-improvement and contracting business that has been in operation for nearly a century is in its final days.

U.L. Harman of Marydel will close its doors for good this weekend, according to WBOC-TV.  The owner, who is the fourth generation of the family to run the firm, said homeowners are putting off repairs and additions due to the difficult economy.  The sell-off of inventory may continue after the closing of the business this Saturday.
