Helping former prisoners re-enter society
Over the past year, seven full-time volunteers have been working in Delaware to helped create or expand programs for ex-offenders.
The volunteers were subsidized through the Americorps VISTA program to help in areas of mental health support, mentoring, and programs for older inmates. The volunteers will provide a recap of their efforts at today’s meeting of Delaware Reentry Consortium members in downtown Wilmington.
