Hearing tonight for New Castle County comprehensive land use plan

The New Castle County Planning Board and Land Use Department hold a public hearing tonight on the comprehensive development plan update.

The meeting will be held at 7:00 p.m. at the Gilliam Building multi-purpose room, 77 Read’s Way, New Castle (Corporate Commons).  The comprehensive development plan is designed to serve as “the county’s primary guiding document guiding land use for the next ten years,” according to the administration of New Castle County Executive Paul Clark.  The plan was updated in 1997, 2002 and 2007.  The Planning Board and Land Use Department will consider the plan and forward recommendations to County Council for final consideration.
