Group wants to bring destroyer to Sussex

An effort is underway to bring a 12,000 ton Navy destroyer to the Indian River Inlet.

The USS Forrest Sherman is currently docked in Philadelphia, but there are hopes the ship could become a major tourist attraction in southern Delaware.  The USS Forrest Sherman DD-931 Foundation is working with State Rep. Gerald Hocker (R-Ocean View) to make their dream a reality.
