Greenlee wants training course for Philadelphia bar bouncers

Here’s something that might have gotten lost yesterday amid City Council’s votes on DROP and redistricting: bar bouncers.

Councilman Bill Greenlee is looking to make it a requirement for the city’s bar bouncers to pass a training course on how to handle situations without being too aggressive. We’ll hear more about this measure later from WHYY’s Tom MacDonald.

Council will debate the measure, which would require bouncers to pass the course in order to register with the city.
