Gas Prices creep up

Just in time for the heavy Thanksgiving travel season gas prices are starting to creep up.

AAA released new average gas prices showing the average price in Delaware is $2.91.  Across the bridge in New Jersey is the lowest at $2.82, while the average price in Pennsylvania is $2.95.  AAA blames the rising cost of crude oil.  This morning’s prices was $85.44 a barrel.  The closer it gets to $90 the closer the price at the pump goes to $3.00/gallon.

The price in Del., Pa., and N.J. has gone up three cents just since Friday.  Maryland only rose 2 cents since Friday and sits at $2.86 a gallon on average.

AAA will put its national forecast for Thanksgiving on Tuesday.  The regional forecast for gas prices during the Thanksgiving holiday will be out on Friday.  Check back with newsworks.org/delaware on Tuesday for the national projection.
