NewsWorks Tonight host Dave Heller sits down for his weekly conversation with Gallup’s Frank Newport to talk about trends in American opinion.

This week, Heller and Newport took a look at public opinion on policies impacting Americans’ finance, following issues raised during Tuesday’s Democratic Presidential Debate.

Topics of discussion included raising the minimum wage; having the wealthy pay more in taxes; paid family leave; pay equity for women workers; background checks for gun sales; and the Trans Pacific Partnership.

One issue that was scarcely touched on; fixing the way in which the federal government works in Washington, the most important single problem facing the country according to Americans.
