Former Newark parking administrator returns as Dep. City Manager

A former Newark Parking Administrator, now the township manager in Hatfield, Pa. is returning to Newark as the new Deputy City Manager.

Andrew Haines will begin his new position at the end of January.  City Manager Carol Houck praised Haines’ appointment. “I’m looking forward to Andy joining our team as we start the New Year as his hiring is the final step of the reorganization of the Administrative Department,” she said.

Houck began a reorganization of Newark city duties when she began on the job in September 2012.  The current assistant to the city manager Charles Zusag retires at the end of February.
