First cultural fair set for September in Upper Merion

In an attempt to provide residents with more cultural events, Upper Merion Township leaders have scheduled the township’s very first cultural fair for next month.

The Times Herald reports the fair, scheduled for September 10, will celebrate a variety of cultures and their foods; from India to Brazil, Cuba and Africa.

This year’s cultural fair is organized by volunteers, according to The Times Herald.

Park and Recreation Director Dan Russel told The Times Herald the fair encourages residents to “join in the mission of spreading cultural awareness and encourages the celebration of customs and traditions.”
