Lack of hydrants issue in Camden house fire

Firefighters arrived to the scene of a fire this morning to find flames shooting out of a Camden County home in a neighborhood that didn’t have any nearby fire hydrants.

WPVI-TV reports the fire sparked around 3:50 a.m. this morning on the 400 block of Angelo Road in Winslow Township.

Water apparently became an issue for firefighters because there were no hydrants in the area, according to WPVI-TV. Water tankers were called in as a result, helping firefighters to get the fire under control within an hour.

WPVI-TV says no injuries were reported. It’s unclear what caused the fire.
