Final zoning code report released, Dilworth and Occupy, I-95 construction, and Mayor Nutter round 2

The Zoning Code Commission issued its version of the final code yesterday, PlanPhilly’s Jared Brey reports. The Commission will vote on the report at its last meeting this morning, sending it to City Council. Jared will be there, so stay tuned to PlanPhilly for more.

It’s November, and we’re all left wondering when Dilworth Plaza will become a demolition zone, instead of an Occupied encampment. Hidden City looks at the Dilworth Plaza redesign, and hears what Occupiers think about the move and the project. Though the City and Occupy Philly are still in conversation about the project and protest relocation, the plaza outside the Municipal Services Building seems to be a likely new home for Occupy.

The reconstruction of 1-95 is bringing major changes to sections of the highway and parts of Delaware Avenue around Girard Avenue and Richmond Street. Northern portions of I-95 are also under construction at Cottman Avenue. PlanPhilly’s Kellie Patrick Gates checks in on the construction.

Yesterday, Mayor Nutter handily won his bid for a second term and City Council had its largest turnover in 20 years. The Inquirer breaks down Mayor Nutter’s second term priorities, including stimulating the redevelopment of the Delaware River waterfront.
