Fattah resigns after 21 years in office, effective immediately

U.S. Rep. Chaka Fattah, convicted Tuesday of corruption charges, has resigned from Congress.

In a letter sent from former Congressman to House Speaker Paul Ryan, Fattah offered his resignation from the U.S. House of Representatives, effective immediately.
