Fast moving fire kills one in Townsend, Delaware

A fast moving house fire killed one man an injured a woman in Townsend late Saturday night.

 

NBC10 reports the fire broke out just before 11pm and was brought under control 90 minutes later in the 700 block of Money Road.

The woman in the home was brought to Christiana Hospital and treated for smoke inhalation.  The body of the man in the home was not found until after the fire was out.  A firefighter was also treated and released at Christiana Hospital after injuring his leg.

Authorities tell NBC10 there were no working smoke detectors in the home.
