Exit Zero Jazz Fest returns to Cape May 5/29-5/31

The spring rendition of the biannual Exit Zero International Jazz Festival will again turn Cape May into a seaside jazz mecca.

The three-day multi-venue music event features headliner, Dr. John and the Nite Trippers.  The band will perform a tribute to jazz legend and fellow New Orleans native son, Louis Armstrong.  Dr. John fans can also expect to hear a retrospective of the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer’s own five decade career.

The Rebirth Brass Band will get the crowds grooving with its funk meets N’awlins second line sounds.  The band is sure to play songs from the 2014 release, Move Your Body.

New Jersey’s own Bruce Springsteen will be celebrated with a special 40th anniversary reimagining of his seminal Born To Run by jazz vocalist, Paul Jost.

Other hot acts to catch include vibraphonist Joe Locke, Hammond B3 organist Brian Charette and 11-year old piano prodigy, Joey Alexander.

Tickets are available as various three-day, two-day and one-day pass packages or by single ticket for individual shows.

Friday, May 29, 5 p.m. to 2 a.m.; Saturday, May 30, 11 a.m. to 2 a.m.; Sunday, May 31, 10 :30 a.m. to 9 p.m. – various venues, Cape May, N. J.
