The excessive heat warning is now in effect until 8 p.m. Sunday.
• Heat index values… Up to 110 today and up to around 100 on Sunday.
• Timing… Peak heat index values are expected during the afternoon hours.
• Impacts… The combination of heat and humidity will create dangerous heat index values. This will occur right through Sunday… And even conditions at night will remain very warm and humid in the highly urbanized areas where low temperatures may not drop much below 80 degrees.
