DSU football players charged in dorm burglaries
Five Delaware State University football players have been charged with stealing video game systems and laptop computers from dorms at the University of Delaware.
UD police said Friday that they identified the suspects with the help of DSU police and arrested them last week.
They are identified as 21-year-old Cameren Judge; 20-year-old Gabriel Sherrod; 20-year-old Rashawn Barrett; 23-year-old Shubasz Gordon; and 19-year-old Malik Golson.
The DSU football website says Barrett and Judge are defensive backs, Sherrod and Golson are wide receivers and Gordon is a defensive lineman.
Police say the burglaries occurred on May 18 and that property was stolen from two different apartments in a residence hall.
UD’s campus is in Newark, while DSU’s is in Dover. The schools generally don’t play football against each other.
