Downstate district gets new superintendent

Southern Delaware’s Cape Henlopen School District is getting a new superintendent – from not far away.

Kevin Carson is currently superintendent of the Woodbridge School District, also in Sussex County.

The search began to wind down in recent weeks, and five candidates were interviewed by the board of education in late March.  David Robinson has been serving as Cape Henlopen superintendent under a one-year agreement.

Carson is scheduled to begin his new responsibilities in late June.  He spent 13 years at the Woodbridge School District, which serves towns including Greenwood, Bridgeville and Farmington.
