Double homicide in Wilmington

Wilmington Police are investigating a double murder that happened early this morning in the area of 6th and Franklin Streets.

UPDATE: Police have now released the identity of the victims.  They say 37-year-old Nicacio Rojas and 34-year-old Maximiliano Juarez were gunned down early this morning.

Details are thin at this point, but police say they responded to reports of ‘shots fired’ just before 2 a.m.  Police found two males on a porch in the area, and both had gun shot wounds to their upper bodies.  They were both taken to Christiana Hospital, where they both died.

Police are looking for tips from the public about the shooting.  Anyone with information can call Detective John Ciritella at 576-3629.  Tips are also being accepted on the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-TIP-3333.
