Dewey Beach PD investigate early morning fight
Police are investigating reports of gunshots during an overnight fight in the North Beach Restaurant parking lot.
Around 1:30 Wednesday morning, Dewey Beach officers heard what sounded like two gunshots near the parking lot at the North Beach Restaurant. As the officers investigated the gunshots, they found what police describe as a large disorderly crowd with several people fighting.
Police from Rehoboth Beach, Lewes, and Bethany Beach were called in along with the Delaware State Police to break up the crowd. Dewey Beach Police say no one was taken into custody and the incident remains under investigation.
