Dems pick County Council President candidate

Delaware Democrats will gather tonight at William Penn High School to select the party’s nominee to replace Paul Clark as New Castle County Council President.

The meeting which starts at 7 is open to registered Democrats from New Castle County, but only members of the Democratic Committee will vote to select the candidate who will run against the Republican’s nominee Tom Kovach.  No date has been set for the special election to replace Clark, who ascended to County Executive after Senator Chris Coons was elected to fill the remainder of Vice President Joe Biden’s Senate term.
