Delaware woman abducted from Wilmington street
Wilmington Police are trying to find Marsha Lee, who they believe was abducted from the intersection of Lowell Road and Matson Run Parkway around 9:30 Monday morning.
Police say a witness heard screeching tires and saw a man putting something inside the rear of a red Hummer with tinted windows. The SUV then drove off westbound on East Matson Run Parkway. Officers investigating found articles of clothing that were later connected to Marsha Lee at the scene.
Around 10 a.m., Lee’s husband called police to report that his wife was missing. He told officers she went out to walk the family dog around 9 a.m. while he went to an appointment. When he returned about an hour later, he found the dog running loose, but there was no sign of his wife. Investigating officers were able to connect the two incidents when the husband positively identified the clothes left by the fleeing Hummer as his wife’s.
Lee is described as a white woman, 5’6″ tall, weighing 140 pounds. Anyone with information regarding this incident or the whereabouts of Lee is asked to contact Detective Scott Chaffin at 576-3682.
