Attorney General Matt Denn and his 12-year-old son Zach were injured following a car accident in Hockessin this morning.
Police said Denn was driving on Brackenville Road near Valleywood Road around 7:30 a.m. when a tree fell across the road and hit Denn’s car while he was driving it.
Department of Justice spokesman Carl Kanefsky said the car was totaled.
“Neither were seriously injured but it obviously was a frightening experience and could have been far worse,” said Kanefsky, in a statement.
The attorney general was treated at the scene; his son was taken to A.I. duPont Hospital for Children for treatment.
