Deep Freeze: January in the Flickr Pool

January’s wintery blasts, bombogenesis, and polar vortices have been brutal, but the weather has been a boon for beautiful and moody photography. Our talented Flickr contributors captured these crystalline views of the city shrouded by clouds, frosted with ice, quited by snow, wrapped in fog, and bathed in soft light. So we’ll close out January with these shots, and with them bid a hopeful farewell to winter’s icy grip.
