This weekend walk through Old City playing UnSilent Night, cruise Chinatown North’s arts hubs, and shop for crafty goodies in the Rotunda.
UnSilent Night Parade
Friday, December 14, 6:30pm. Meet at Trust, 3rd and Arch. As part of Old City District’s Winter Wonderland, Hidden City will present Phil Kline’s UnSilent Night, a musical composition to be played outdoors on different boomboxes creating a modern carol. UnSilent night is a 45-minute perambulation through city streets, and it’s BYO audio amplification divice. No advance registration is required. Free.
Chinatown North Arts Crawl
Friday, December 14, 6-9pm. Chinatown North/Callowhill. Pop in and out of the creative hubs of Chinatown North/Callowhill for on an arts crawl. Check out two shows at the Asian Arts Initiative, five shows at Vox Populi, Space 1026’s annual art auction (bids start at $5!), the Fabric Workshop and Museum, andUnderground Arts. Free.
Go West! Holiday Craft Fest
Saturday, December 15. 11am-4pm. The Rotunda, 4014 Walnut Street. More than 50 vendors will participate in this year’s Go West! Holiday Craft Fest. Stop by to check out The Rotunda, shop locally (more than half of the vendors live in West Philly) for the holidays.
