The CCCNE Founder’s Award is awarded to those who have demonstrated an outstanding commitment to the most vulnerable of our Northeast Philadelphia Neighbors. Throughout his 34 years of public service, Representative Dennis O’Brien has lived this commitment.

The CCCNE Humanitarian Award is given to someone who lives with a generosity of spirit and works to further both the practical and the altruistic aspects of the CCCNE mission. This year’s recipient, Janet Smithgall, has been a friend and benefactor for 25 years.

The Community Service Award is given in recognition of selfless attention to the needs of our neighbors. Jane Lambie and Mark Nessel have donated hours of their personal time and years of their expertise to the compassionate operation of CCCNE.

Barbara Olszewski is the recipient of the Outstanding Employee Award. “Barbara O.” has worked at CCCNE for 24 years, joining the second Home Health Aide Training Class. Barbara personifies a “can do” attitude and is known for her willingness to take on the tougher cases and to go the extra mile.

Community Care Center of the Northeast is a non-profit, state-licensed home care agency serving Northeast neighborhoods since 1985.
