Coast Guard rescues man, 92, from fishing vessel off N.J.

U.S. Coast Guard personnel rescued an elderly man aboard a fishing vessel off New Jersey Sunday afternoon.

U.S. Coast Guard personnel rescued an elderly man aboard a fishing vessel off New Jersey Sunday afternoon.

The 92-year-old man was on the fishing boat Fish Finder II about five miles off Atlantic City when he began having possible cardiac issues, according to a Coast Guard release.

Watchstanders at Coast Guard Station Atlantic City received notification and launched a rescue boat crew to the scene, the release said.

The man was transported to Station Atlantic City and transferred to emergency medical personnel.

He was determined to be in stable condition and sent to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center in Atlantic City for further treatment.

Authorities have not released the man’s name.
