Cliff Lee makes a pitch for better hitting from flagging Phils

What’s it like to be Phillies pitcher Cliff Lee right now? The Philly favorite has a 2.66 ERA with 40 strikeouts and has allowed only five home runs, but his record would suggest otherwise.

In six games, Lee is 0-2.

More than a month into the 2012 season, it’s safe to say that Lee’s start has been less than stellar, but it’s not all his fault.

Lee has only given up 13 earned runs and has walked only five batters, which means perhaps the pitcher could use a little help from his hitters.
