Chester County grandfather is riding his bike to Florida
Claud Campbell and his grandson have set out on a pretty low-key trip to Florida.
The Chester County resident is taking only the necessities, and will stop to see anything interesting that catches his eye along the way. It’ll be a pretty easy-going trip for the 80-year-old, even though he’ll be biking the whole way.
“I’ve never been sick. I don’t take any medications, and I don’t have any joint problems. I’m just gonna keep going,” he told the West Chester Daily Local before pedaling out Saturday.
Campbell is riding with his 32-year-old grandson to Campbell’s other home in Florida. The pair will meet up every day with Campbell’s son-in-law, who will make the journey in his truck and touch base with the duo for nightly lodging.
Campbell expects to reach Eustis, Fla., in a couple weeks.
