Busy sports day in South Philadelphia

Don’t be surprised if traffic in South Philadelphia today is moving at a slower pace.

The Philadelphia Eagles start the day with a game against the San Francisco 49ers.  Not long after the end of the Eagles’ game, the Philadelphia Phillies begin their second game of the National League Division Series against the St. Louis Cardinals.

Needless to say, it’s going to be busy at the South Philly sports complex, as the two stadiums sit across the street from each other.

Kick-off for the Eagles game is set for 1 p.m., while first pitch for the Cardinals-Phillies game is scheduled for 8:37 p.m.
