Police arrest man in connection to indecent assault on SEPTA bus in Germantown

A 53-year old man is facing sexual assault charges in connection to an incident that began on a SEPTA bus late last month.

Henry Dixon, of East Germantown, was arrested on Nov. 6 – just a day after surveillance video captured him on a Route K bus.

Capt. John Darby with the Special Victims Unit of the Philadelphia Police Department said that anonymous tips based on the clear nature of the video helped officers quickly find Dixon.

On Oct. 24, Dixon boarded a bus around midnight and sat next to a 19-year-old female. He then allegedly sexually assaulted her.

When the young woman exited the bus, Dixon allegedly followed and pulled her into an alley. The complainant was able to escape the offender and flee the scene.
