FEAST: Dollar Days on the Ave

Tuesday, August 20, 5-8pm. 2600-2800 West Girard Avenue. Sample treats from Girard Avenue businesses in Fairmount/Brewerytown for $1, $3 and $5. Among the participating vendors are Shifty’s Tacos, Butter’s Soul Food, and Rybrew. Also, stop by Fairmount CDC’s new office at 2712 W. Girard and enter to win a $50 Bottom Dollar gift card. Pay as you go.

GAZE: Schuylkill River Gazebo Tour

Tuesday, August 20, 5:30-8pm. Meet at the rear entrance to the Philadelphia Museum of Art, facing Boathouse Row. Explore Victorian gazebos along the Schuylkill River north of the Art Museum to see beautiful sunset/moonrise views. See two well-known gazebos and two rarely visited ones along with historian and Philadelphia Parks Alliance Board President Bob Thomas. $20; $15 for Parks Alliance members.

JAM: Rittenhouse Square Summer Concert Series

Thursday, August 22, 7pm-9pm, Rittenhouse Square, 18th and Walnut. For this week’s concert V and Lady Alma will grace the park stage. Free.

WATCH: My Cousin Vinny

Thursday, August 22, 7:30-9:30pm, Schuylkill Banks, by the Walnut Street Bridge. Bring a blanket and a picnic and settle in for the hilarious My Cousin Vinny. Screening begins at sunset (approximately 7:45pm), but show up early for snacks and a raffle. Free.
