Fun Ride: Benjamin Franklin Bridge

Wednesday, August 15, 5:25-7:30pm. Meet at Sydenham and Walnut Streets (at the bike corral.) A Bicycle Coalition staffer will lead a 5-mile ride through Philly, visiting different pieces of the city’s bike infrastructure and areas that the Bicycle Coalition is working to improve. This month, John Boyle will lead the group to the Benjamin Franklin Bridge. All riders must sign a waiver, wear a helmet, and abide by the rules of the road. A guardian must accompany riders under 18. Rides are free, but pre-registration is required.

Baltimore Avenue Dollar Stroll

Thursday, August 16, 5:30-8:30pm. Baltimore Avenue between 42nd and 50th Streets. Get all kinds of treats from more than 25 shops, restaurants, food trucks, and vendors for $1 apiece. Check out this map of participants and check this list for their $1 offerings. Pay as you go.

Night Market: Mt. Airy

Thursday, August 16, 6-10pm. 6800-7200 Germantown Avenue. More than 50 vendors take to Germantown Avenue for the return of Night Market to Mt. Airy. Snag delicious eats and drinks for under $5 each and listen to live music while walking the avenue. Rain date August 24. Pay as you go.

Thursday, August 16, 8pm. Liberty Lands 926 N. American Street. 1987 comes to Liberty Lands as part of The Awesome Fest’s ’80s outdoor movie retrospective. Settle in to watch the Governator in Predator this week. Awesome. Free.
